When we were given 5 minutes to decide what to cook to suit the theme "Food for Kids" or "Santapan Kanak-kanak", for the Ideal Celebrity Chef Challenge, I juggled with a few ideas about what to cook using Ideal Evaporated Milk that looks attractive and tasted delicious... The whole package! I decided it was best to stick with what I cooked often at home... Pancake Stacks!Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
- 3 teaspoons baking powder, sifted
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 cup Ideal evaporated milk
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 egg
- In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
- Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, egg. Mix well until smooth.
- Heat a lightly oiled griddle over medium high heat. Add a little butter.
- Pour the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake.
- Brown on both sides and serve hot.
- 1/2 cup Ideal Evaporated Milk
- 1 cup Chocolate Chips
- 3 tbsp sugar
- Put all the ingredients in a small pot.
- Cook on low fire.
- Continue cooking & stirring for about 10-15 minutes or until the sauce thickens.
- 2 green apples, peeled, cored & cubed
- 3 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 cup of water
- Put all the ingredients together in a small pan.
- Cook for 10 minutes on low fire or until apple softens.
- Layer in between the pancakes.
